SCOTT WILSON

What's unique about Scott's background is that he is a business executive first, lawyer second.  Before becoming an attorney, Scott had a successful 20-year career supporting and leading complex business transactions, working alongside some of the most talented attorneys and law firms around the world.  While working full time, Scott attended and graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law with a Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate.  Scott is an attorney in good standing with the Bars of Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Illinois, as well as the Federal District Courts for Northern and Southern Indiana.

Scott’s experience and mindset regarding legal support is also unique.  His many years in the business sector has deeply informed his approach to the law.  His legal style balances risk mitigation with keeping commercial transactions moving forward.  Business moves fast.  Although he leans toward providing a thoughtful response vs. a shallow reaction, sometimes the luxury of spending too much time agonizing over all of the potential options does not best serve the needs of the business.  His mantra: consider the landscape, gather insights, move decisively.

Scott lives in McCordsville, Indiana with his wife and three daughters.  He is an avid runner, competing in triathlons and marathons, including the Boston Marathon.  Scott is active in the Indianapolis Bar and Indiana State Bar Association, as well as the state bar associations for New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Illinois.  He also serves as a volunteer attorney for legal clinics, works as an advocate for equal access to justice, and volunteers for programs that support the faith life of the incarcerated and facilitating ex-offenders’ successful reentry into their communities.
